Using ChatGPT for Rostering
How to leverage ChatGPT for your operations? We'll see a simple rostering plan creation here.
Hey folks 👋, Bala here with another issue of OpsWorld. If it's your first time here, we generally write about technology and how it impacts the world of Operations.
Before we begin,
OpsWorld is created by the team at ZORP. In simple terms, ZORP is the OS for Operations. It’s a powerful suite of Products for Modern Operations teams who care about efficiency🚀.
Old news is that ChatGPT is out. Now that the buzz has died down, most of the common usage is from engineering and technology teams for coding, image generation and others.
But tools like this could be more useful to folks in Operations. The reason for that is, our ability to be productive is correlated with the tools we have access to. This is why most ops folks work on Spreadsheets (The one universal tool that they have access to).
The new AI tools are going to be a better assistant since you can leverage them and do things that were not accessible to you before. Don’t know where to get started?
Today, I created a simple Rostering plan for a sample team based on some sample data. I will show you how with very limited refining and work, you can create a great plan to optimize your rostering.
Now, compare this with how you do rostering in your org. You need an intern or an early employee to do this in a spreadsheet spending an hour a week. Now, what do you want to try out today?
Did you find this useful? If so, consider sharing it in your network. If there is a specific topic in Operations that you want me to address, do let me know in the comments.
